The transport sector must reduce its emissions to zero by 2045. This means: individual mobility will rely on electric drives, more people will use buses and trains, and climate-neutral fuels will power shipping and aviation. This transformation requires additional infrastructure such as railways and charging stations, as well as new value chains and business models. At the same time, mobility must remain affordable for everyone. The Foundation for Climate Neutrality develops concepts for sustainable mobility, electrification strategies, and innovative transport solutions.
